Where have I been? Some of us have followed Bradford for a considerably long time and for years were happy just to see the club get to semi finals and perhaps win the odd away game. We turned out in all weathers to cheer them on and just playing the likes of wigan and st helens was appreciated without having to beat them. We all hoped we would but knew deep down it was unlikely. We were realistic and I think the newer post super league bulls fans have been conditioned into expecting too much success and they are the poorer for it!
It takes 14 teams to make up super league and no one team has a divine right to win it. Not too long ago leeds fans were bemoaning their lack of success but it is there turn now.
I am reasonably happy with what McNamara and his team are doing even though they came up a bit short last season and there were reasonable excuses for that.
I have more optimism for this season which hasn't been helped by the postponements and I think you should give this squad a chance to bed in and get some games under their belts before you start calling for the coaches head.
I bet you'd be a bundle of fun if you were a wire fan!
