Cruncher wrote:
I'm a bit wary of doing this because it would be easy for me to be cast as a Saints-hating Wiganer congratulating you on a victory that was more important to me because of who lost. But I assure you that's not the case.

In addition, I rarely post on other clubs' boards because I hate trolling, and I would never want to be seen as doing that. So I'm being doubly cautious posting on here.

However, there's no option tonight but to give you guys the plaudits.

It was great to see your lads show the guts and self-belief that they did. Most teams would have been dead and buried by half-time. I admit that I thought you were. I thought it would be a 60-point job by full time. But Bradford are still a major power in RL, and that was amply illustrated with that truly heroic comeback. Well done indeed.

If you can forgive me a self-interested moment, you were one of the few clubs at the start of Super League who did NOT dance on our grave. I personally will never forget that. So well done, and good luck for the future. You won't need much after tonight's show.

Don't worry about the rest of the season. With no relegation, see it for what it is - a rebuilding era. You don't have as much to do as some of your results may suggest.

I'll second that Cruncher. Had my parents round to watch and, as we always see Bradford as 'our second team' so to speak, there's 3 more smiling Wiganers tonight. That it was Saints just makes it even better of course, not that I'd ever admit it! Doh!

Cheers guys.

I've always had a lot of time for Wigan fans. Over the SL era, invariably magnanimous in victory and gracious in defeat when we played them. I even used to be a mod on an independent Wigan board once - came across some real nice decent knowledgeable folk.

Ignoring the few vocal idiots, obviously - every one has them - and a fifth column, as we sure have.

Thanks again.

well done bradford, we should not have gave a lead like we had away could tell your guys were playing out of there skins and they were doing it for mcnamara, yeah i am gutted we lost but it helps that leeds have lost aswell and in all honesty its probably for the best that we lost a match right now, going into the next few weeks unbeaten for so long would have put us under more pressure to please. good stuff from your boys dont do fall apart next week again like with warrington

Ditto Adey. I'll never forget walking out of Odsal after the 31-30 win and having nothing but good wishes and praise from th Bradford faithful. Now that's magnanimous in defeat! Great fans and I just hope the ones who've, perhaps understandably, voted with their feet now get behind the team. Wish you all the best for the rest of the season.

As a Saints fan, just here to say well Done Bradford, it was a well deserved win. To have the spirit to come back from 26-10 down is an excellent effortand shows that your boys still have the fight and comittment left. Alls you need to do now is kick on from this.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

It's good to see that the Burgess no try wasn't the deciding factor in the game.

Maybe the posts from you and the other Saints on this thread will show people that many (most, probably) Saints fans are pretty decent, and more representative than the vocal few idiots we see too much of?

I've highlighted that one bit, because your impressions are interesting given our Negative Tendency on here is adamant that the players have no confidence in or respect for him.

btw, that twelve minute spell when you ran all those tries in was one of the most impressive passages of play I have seen for a long time. You lot must surely be nailed on for the trophy, regardless of slipping up tonight.
