Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

It's interesting that ten people would like Fielden back at the Bulls, but, if I understand Bradford Service Crew correctly only he has put some sort of reason behind their descision.

What happens to all the ends of the words? Is it like a Back to the Future thing where the words are slowly disappearing because of time travel?

I have stated before that whilst his best days are behind him, he is still a decent SL Prop. I wouldn't sign him to lead a pack, but if we needed a 4th choice Prop next year then at the right price (average SL Prop salary) then yeah I would take him back.

That's not to say he would be my first choice of Props available for next year though. There is of course the fair argument of giving some of the younger guy's a chance to establish themselves too though. Has Crossley been tearing up tree's trying to earn his place in the side?

Thats all perfectly reasonable if you ask me, one of the issues I have with this story being dragged back up occationally is that Fielden is contracted to Wigan for next year. So we'd need to pay a fee - not gonna happen, or wait another year, when he'll be 31 - thus making any form/confidence issues currently redundant. I'll wait for the poll on Fielden to Bulls June 2010!

They could release him from his final year, unlikely after what they paid for him, but stranger things have happened

That might depend if Noble leaves and an incoming coach wants his own players in. Freeing a chunk of salary cap for a player who hasn't performed as they expected might be a sensible decision from the clubs point of view.

Unless another club took on his contract, or Fielden agreed to waive the cash (unlikely) Fieldens wage for 2010 would still count on their cap would it not if they released him? Unless a mutial agreement is reached with Fielden having another club lined up I suppose.

It would be sensible, and it could well be coach dependant, but its still unlikely if you ask me and Fielden will see out his contract at Wigan IMO.

Fielden was very lucky to stay on the field on Friday night. Having now watched the match off my Sky+, he should have been sent off for what he said to the referee.

Since it was clearly caught on camera, I would hope the RFL make an example of it and give him a match ban for it.

(For those who didn't see it or can't lip read at all, Fielden, while on camera, clearly angrily called the referee a "f'ing bent b'tard", but without the censoring)

Not an effing chance, we've already got too many over paid poop kickers at the club.

On the other hand though, if we could ship some of the freeloaders we've got at the minute back across the Pennines as part of a deal that might be an atractive prospect...
