As Andy was probably looking for his last contract I would imagine that the length of the contract (and therefore stability) would be the most important element, rather than a big salary hike. That is unless you could earn the same in, say, 2 years, but then you have to take into account the extra year of tax allowance on earnings yo get from the 3 year deal.

Three year's pay in two is worth far far more than any tax implication. And the taxpayer would anyway still have the PA and the basic rate band available for year three.

I guess then that we can say that no-one offered him a two year deal anywhere near as good then. And, at 30 ish, it is fairly brave to offer a 3 year deal. (Was Morrison on 1 or 2 years when he first signed?)
Good news, I wonder what changed, because I completely trust the person who told me that him going Cas was nailed on, they'd never been wrong before.
Was very close to signing from what i here but our ceo wasnt willing to offer him enough money, shame would have loved him back at cas, at least he gets to play for a team that hates leeds though!
At this stage of his career I'd imagine a 3 year deal would be hard to turn down, however given the impact his departure would have had on the club, and more importantly the impact on the supporters, you can't argue with them offering him it (unless it is silly money).

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Surely not talking about us, afterall we don't make any noise.
