Most HB's are little gobshites, they can't get about being little pipsqueeks, the position demands loud, obnoxious and cheeky players. These types are usually the best because they are confident in their own ability and they hate it when things go wrong, they dont like to blame theirselves either, thats why they question everything. While I accept halfbacks can be like that sometimes, I can't think of more than one player (that being Briers) in the entire league in the last 5 years, who has been as bad as Brough. With Brough I find myself shouting abuse at him even when I'm only watching him on the tv. Intolerable little sh*t who I'd love to see get laid out by one of the enforcer players to teach him a lesson.

All that, if even true, does not stop him being a match winner for every club he has ever played for!!!

I'm not saying his gob is anything at all to do with his playing ability. Just that he has a gob and I really wish someone would shut it.

I will also add that there is no doubt when Brough is on form, he is an excellent player. I'm not questioning that.


Oh and I don't think Sean Long or Kevin Sinfield are half as bad as Brough. They are bad at times, I agree. But not on Brough or Briers' level. Gobbie Boulding may well be a more accurate comparison as far as the mouth goes.

I think that's the point. Brough is infuriating but he does the business most of the time. Shame he manages to fall out with clubs so often though.

I suspect Dilligaf's opinion about Brough was similar to that held by many non Bradford fans about James Lowes.
