People can pretend it's because of a boycott all they like, but I don't buy that for a minute. People who aren't going when they have no good reason, are not going because they don't like to support a team who aren't winning.
Well, we were always accused of being `glory fans` a few years back, which looking at current attendances would now seem to have been a fair criticism of a good few back then. This does affect every club in every sport though, and I don`t think there is any club in any league, anywhere that this doesn`t apply to; the better the results, generally the better the `support`.
It has always has been easier to support success rather than failure and I guess that everyone has a lower limit, beyond which they feel they can no longer support a club, which is fair enough and I won`t criticise anyone for making whatever decision they feel is right for them; you pay your brass and you take your pick.
I guess we all sometimes feel we know better than the professionals, even though we often have little background knowledge of what is going on within the club (rumours on here don`t count, btw wink:) and only a basic idea of the game at an amateur level.
