I'd definitely be giving him a start at loose. Especially if Menzies is still in the centres. We seem to have quite a few back rowers not performing at the moment (Worrincy, Langley & Cook spring to mind) and with Morrison injured, no reason why Donaldson shouldn't get a start.

Certainly looked promising considering he's still only 17.

Is it now the case that Donaldson is seen as a forward? Most people seem to be putting down as a Loose Forward. I even saw one team lineup earlier that had him suggested in the Second Row - surely a total non-starter????

I thought he was being groomed as a Stand Off. Given our lack of resources in this position - Jeffries likely to be off, Sykes yet to convince - wouldn't we be better giving him a go at 6.

I hope they are not going to try and bulk him up and create yet another utility forward who can play anywhere in the pack.

Regardless of what people are putting him as, McNamara played him in the back row on Sunday.

James Donaldson is seen as a 13 by himself and the club.
