he was only on loan for 3 games then was recalled by bradford not exactley much time for a young player to make a name for themselves, especially a forward.

If it was a choice between Cook & Worrency id take Cook, but i think we are stuck with Worrency for another year where as Cooks contract is up, i think, and with the amount of young backrow talent coming through we cant afford to keep both so i assume Cook is going.

Comparing their stats for 2009 Cook misses more tackles and makes more errors than Worrincy. In attack their stats are pretty similar.

IMO neither are any great shakes and there's no real need to keep both. With the likes of Whitehead, Olbison, Tate & Co coming through we'd maybe do better to spend precious cap money on areas where we need some quality rather than on having heaps of average backrowers.

Speaking of players - Cook, Halley, Worrincy - who get shipped out to other clubs for experience, what's the feeling about whether we will or should retain Matt James?

No such thing as bad soldiers; just bad officers - I think is how it goes?

That said, if a player lacks the ability then no amount of coaching will make him a first-grade player, no matter how motivated?

Retain him, and give him the chance to show what he can do, at least.
