Jury's still out on that one. Some see him as a legend, others see him as the man who took Elliot's good work and dined out on it for years doing very little when he had to build his own teams...

| Elliott did a great job in putting all the foundations in place and winning the cup for the first time in over 50 years. Noble took it on and won more than any other coach in the club's history. You can't argue with that record.
Thought Mason looked very good. Definitely a class above your average championship prop.

The most worrying thing about yesterday was he was more animated and annoyed after leaking weak tries than most of the permanent team members.
Carrying the ball he was head and shoulders above the rest. Just hope they don't drag him down to their level.

| I personally would take Nobles comments with a pinch of salt. After all, wasn't he once the cheap option and not a "proper coach" as he had only worked with kids and reserves up to the point where he took over from Elliott???
On a more serious note, thought Mason looked very handy yesterday. Have to admit I wasn't entirely sure who he was when we signed him but based on yesterdays showing he could be very handy if he maintains that level and we get to keep him. Ran hard and made some good meters along with Scurr, something that we have struggled with for a long while now.
Was a bit concerned about Butler starting at centre too, especially after being so exposed at Keighley when Gill went off. However again very pleased with his performance and think he had a great game.
Very strange how the game swung back and forth. First half I think we looked like a different team, played with confidence and everything we did seemed to come off. Second half whatever was said in the changing rooms had a massive negative effect. We looked sluggish, slow and scared to play.
The way both sides played in the last 40mins must have had both sets of coaches scratching their heads.

| Little has been said about the performance of England yesterday. I thought he was very good on his return.

| Thought England and Butler did well going forward but they had a few bad moments in defence. Butler not as disastrous as away at Keighley and can be excused a bit as he was out of position.
Mason's performance was up there with some of the best we've had from loan players.

| Rob Butler has signed for London, how long and on what basis (permanent/loan) is not immediately obvious to me, Either way he isn't going to be back anytime soon.

| Didn’t rate Butler’s time here anyway. Mason has been miles better in his two games.
