I'm not going to repeat what HXSparky has said but if you are interested there is a small interview in the Halifax Courier with Mr Croad. He does say the club made a small profit last season and gives a general explanation of what and why the club have done to steady the club. If you don't want to read it fine. As everyone says we don't want to see Bradford go the wall but it may just happen this time. Hope not

This is a more readable post and mine was a big bite to be fair. Got a guy i work with who supports the football side and does nothing but moan. Like I said hope fax sort their issues out

Lenagan to buy Bradford? : Tue Nov 15, 2016 5:59 pm
I've posted the following on the Wigan board. As Bradford fans, let me know your views:

Out of curioisty what would people think of the possibility of our owner Ian Lenanan buying the Bradford Bulls and using them as our reserve team and/or an academy outpost?

Didnt he sell Oxford FC last year or something? If he did he must have a few million sitting in his bank.

We could use them then to test out our players who arent getting game time on dual regiustration and given they get crowds of 5000 this will be far more economical than us running a reserve league team which only plays 6 games a year. The players would get game time in a competitive environment like the championship and if (heaven forbid) we had another injury crisis we could call up players who we have contracted to Bradford to play for us as stop gaps.

I suppose it could be a bit like Man City and New York City in football terms.

Also didnt Lenangan say a couple of years ago that we were setting up an academy outpost in London to nuture and identify talent? If we could do this in Bradford as well it would be a great coup. Something like half the England team in the 13 during 4 Nations came through the Bradford academy so if we could poach these future players it would supplement our already brilliant academy and give us a hub in Yorkshire to compete with Leeds for youth talent.

If Lenagan did manage to pull this off it could be one of the biggest things to happen to our club for years and the future would look very bright indeed.

Anyway back on topic heard Rohan was quite positive on the facebook banter page. Does anyone think the Mark Lawn article is serious of his intentions? Would be great if he was to attempt it if Rhodes got involved too with his money aswell

Say what you want but end of the day beggars cant be choosers and if it savs your club and puts you on firm financial ground your fans cant complain.

Your all saying you dont know why anyone would invest in you yet here is a reason for investment that will benefit a future owner. All parties win.

People always say its the players and employees that are worst hit. I disagree. Most will get employment elsewhere. The demise of a club hits fans the worst. Most will just give up on RL completely rather than start supporting a different team.

I fear for our own future if we fail promotion next year. A difference though, is Hull only has 2 teams competing for financial backing in a 20 mile radius. In West Yorks, its about 9 across all 'pro' leagues.

Good luck, wouldn't want Northern to go bust, even as a Rovers fan.

I'm not sure that's true. Fans have options to turn up or not, players are instantly put of a job and even if picked up by another club someone else's place is put in jeopardy. There are no winners here and as a Fax no satisfaction to be drawn from this situation

I'm not on Facebook. Can you confirm what was said.

I honestly don't think the supporters owning the club will work. I do hope Mark Lawn & Rhodes gets it.

I feel better about this.

For the last couple of administration, we've been trolled by Super League fans - mainly Wakey and Hudds, but top level all the same.

This time, we seem mainly to have been trolled by little old Leigh - a sure sign that we're on the wain. But trolling from the SL champions shows we're still a name - if not a club - to be reckoned with.

Not seen any trolling from Leythers. Just one misunderstanding perhaps.

The problem is, we all know too much about this process now.
If a pre-pack was set up, it's gone on more than 24hours, which makes it unlikely.
Which then leads us into administration proper, investors putting their case via the media, creditors, secured, unsecured, punishment - 6 points (option A) 12 points (option B), secret option C - entirely made up by the RFL depending on what Nige had for breakfast, 2years of academy work (what looked like our best medium/long term hope) probably down the drain etc, etc.
And like many, I really can't be bothered with it this time.

If you meant option C to be revocation of RFL membership then yes it was the RFL who thought of it but it is in their Insolvency policy. Which takes you to option D which is anything else made up by the RFL. Good luck.
