Nafees was a couple of doors further down and also sold warmed-up pitta breads and curries consisting in the main of tomato powder. Nafees saving grace was that it's Onion Bhaji's were quite nice... similar to those served up at the Karachi in Bradford.
And if you ever wanted a curry with only a couple of small pieces of chicken or 'meat' (whatever that was!) at most, and consisting primarily of gristle, smothered in half a pint of oily gravy, there was always the
Kaghan Valley at Headingley (now called Tariqs?) which was utterly disgusting fare.
Didn't care too much at the time though as I was usually p1ssed anyway.
