My point exactly, I dont want to call foul play but an official club statement within 2 minutes of our press release is a bit quick

What's weird is that our article mentioned several other clubs - some from SL - also fighting for his signature. So were they all making an illegal approach as well as us?

I am hoping we spoke to the RFL and got clearance before we made an approach. If it's true that he was sacked weeks ago then there shouldn't really be anything in this, apart from some sour Sheffield grapes perhaps.

Probably because they thought he would be joining either a SL club or Fev and not a team they will be fighting relegation with. Guess we shall have to see how this one plays out now!

I've heard the claim by Sheffield is nonsense, apparently it's a restraint of trade and not enforceable. We've taken legal advice on this...

Add him to the list of signed people who can't actually play or work for us - Chisholm, Phoenix and Toovey.
I wonder how many others we can sign that can't show their faces at the club?
