Re: Administration 3 - now in technicolour : Tue Dec 20, 2016 7:15 pm
And so it continues....

As many have said for a while it's all about odsal. Simply put the RFL doesn't want to end up with the bidder walking away with a big asset (land) and the stadium being neglected for profit making developments. The bidder wants the lease so they can develop off the field and make the Bulls viable.

The bidder isn't willing to take on the club, like the last few have done and hope to discuss the lease and developments when the RFL have time. By that point they will have thrown money down the black hole like the others have. Whether we believe Green I'm not sure but he has supposedly been negotiating for the lease for two years... you can understand the bidder's worries there.

The difference is the administrator this time and bagging him is a little unfair. He has pushed both parties hard and convinced the RFL and bidder to take a sensible view on the lease as that is the only way the Bulls will work. The last two admins were very much dictated by the RFL and matters have only become worse. The administrator has done his job for the creditors and is also working to avoid this happening again which is kind of above his traditional remit.

I remain confident but I can understand the difficulties between the RFL holding firm and the bidder wanting the lease to try to stem the financial black hole

I personally think the whole time line has been pretty much agreed this week..

One of the birds on said banter page saw fat boy not so slim at Brighouse Toronto press job Saturday..

She posted on Saturday he had said it would be Friday..

If a deal was reached today, it would take a day or so to check legality of the said agreement , put it to each parties / councils legal team then finally agree it.

Then set up a press conference.

Both parties wouldn't have met today in one room, agreed a multi million pound deal , spit and shake hands on it, then walk into another room to the scrutiny of the world.

As much as a major pain in the booty this is for everyone,
I can see (maybe totally wrongly) a positive announcement Friday. ???

Sadler - A man with his finger on the pulse.
Just a brief extract
“I know a lot of Bulls supporters, and they are walking with a spring in their step. And not only that, they are buying lots of season tickets and they are not having to be bribed with discount prices to do so,” explained Sadler.

“I would go so far as to say that the Bulls’ supporters are probably as happy, optimistic and committed as any group of supporters in Rugby League.

“And that’s why their owner Marc Green is my Man of the Year for 2014.

“He is the man who has turned a ship that was heading for the rocks into calmer waters, in the process bringing back some of the spirit that made the Bulls such a success story in the early years of Super League.

Looks like we could be on! If this gets done, we could be in for a very bright future and we might even get some new toilets
