A quick read of a Private Eye will reveal many examples of how the big accountancy companies are seemingly unable to find things wrong with companies finances – only for there to be scandal a short time after. KPMG, PWC etc have all had their mentions.

KPMG didnt spot the 1.5 billion pound black hole in the Coop banks finances either......
Well they wouldnt do would they? it was them that advised the Coop bank to buy the Britannia Building society which was the main cause of the Debt.

Then they coolly charged the Coop 7.4 million big ones for services rendered last year, thanks very much..

Its like knowing you have won the lottery but you don't know if it is the jackpot or just another tenner which you have won twice before in the last 2 years.

And he confirms Hood was involved in the Lamb bid, as a consultant, so red and others were right on that. I cant believe after reading this an iamge just popped into my head, Richard lamb in a toga thing on the chariot pulled by two massive props in gladiator attire OMG - That sounds wrong on so many levels !!
