Oh, we can treat it as a sign, if we like - but as a sign of what?

Whether our prospective new owners are willing to sit with their back to a door. It's a key character test imo.

Here we go again...

So, I think the very fact that both parties are coming back to the table means that;
A) The RFL dont think that the bidder is a complete fraudster that just wants to asset strip, they must have some measure of confidence a suitable agreement can be reached over the gorund.
B) The bidder must have access to some serious funds and must think the RFL are open to a deal of some description.

They must have discussed the rough costs and restrictions on both sides yesterday and they obviously weren't immediate deal breakers for either sides or they wouldnt bother meeting again. Im feeling relatively positive, but Im a long time Bradford fan, so im just waiting for that positivity to melt away as the day progresses! Luckily Im about to set off on a drive thats going to take the bets part of 6 hours and theres no chance of the radio picking this up to update me or me checking my phone every 5 mins so Im about to enter a blissful state of ignorance for 6 hours, see you on the other side, past page 250, I expect progress when I return please ;)

What assets are those then?

Hope things are resolved today but am not going to hold my breath.

Assets - Not much but the Southbank stand is a functioning venue, albeit not much use in a derelict rugby ground - worth a bit in scrap probably!

Because I was under the impression that HMRC always vote against any deal on principle, so I would assume that, coincidentally, HMRC would find themselves on 24% or less a lot of the time in many administrations.

They do, but then the question would (again) be, what are they owed? The bizarre winding-up proceedings ended at a point where HMRC claimed to be owed 350K but green said it had been 130K and (on one reading) of which 100K had been paid, so claimed we owed fsck all if I read it correctly.

But did not feel able to test the arithmetic in court, so the position remained uncertain, except that HMRC were sure enough of their position to press ahead with the winding-up for their full claim.

So, the question is, what value claims will this administrator admit in the administration? As we know (and as Omar learned) the fact that you are owed £1m does not prevent the administrator from rejecting most of your claim. As the administrator learned when Omar sued him, an incorrect rejection can land you with an adverse judgment and costs. Does anybody know what figure HMRC have had approved in the admin, and what %age it makes up of the total? We must have at least one person who knows a creditor, who should have received the numbers?

The discussion is about the lease, which the RFL bought for £1.25m. Do pay attention.

Stay with me folks, ignore all the other noise I've been consistent from day one of this thread as has the party that met the RFL yesterday.

Like I said the grown up's got in the room, the talks were candid and nobody fell out and if this gets done we get new bogs at the very least ;)

There's certainly a couple of twists and surprises to come, but all the stakeholders in these talks are serious and want the Bulls to thrive - that includes the RFL, if they lose a club like Bradford what hope does RL have!

I'm hoping for an announcement that Mick's thumbs are retiring.
