If we do survive I absolutely believe we must move out of Odsal and share in a smaller ground. I would love to see a small ground built from the sale and development of Odsal as us share it with PA. I would then be tempted to watch them as well as the bulls. To me, Odsal is dead and so is the Bulls as we know them. A fresh start in a new ground and possibly lower division is how this will probably end as I can’t see us winning any of the next five games which mean we are as good as down.
I would proudly follow them in a lower division and build our pride again till we re-enter SL.
I guess we can look at the City bid as a 'goodwill' gesture to help a fellow Bradford team or maybe, assuming the RFL raise no objection, City want to use the fact they would have a lease on Odsal to give some leverage against their landlords at VP. Don't really know how that would play with their fanbase, though it doesn't need a crystal ball to think there will be ructions in some areas if it looked as though they might actually move.
Park Avenue are supposed to have been building a new ground at Thornbury for a good few years, and I have to say that, unless it's extremely well hidden or unbelievably small, there is no sign of a new ground anywhere near Thornbury. Truth is, if they actually had more money, they would spend it on Avenue who have stalled a bit over the last few years and they certainly don't look like a team on the rise as they have done for a number of years. Again, RFL permitting, I think Avenue would definitely install themselves in Odsal in preference to Horsfall.
I'd guess that neither would have had a clue about the up front money we are led to believe the RFL are demanding and doubt very much that either would commit that amount to the Bulls.
I wonder if anyone else has considered the scenario that the admin guy becomes totally fed up with the RFL so sells to Mr Green, who I suspect is just trying to recoup his losses, with no intention of playing rugby and he would sell off any physical assets he can find, then just sell the remains of the rugby club on to a third party. I wonder if Mrs Koucash is prepared to take on a team in the lower divisions, as that is surely where it will be?
