The club will announce 'an eagerly anticipated announcement regarding their Dual Reg' status tomorrow at midday. I assume we will either link up with Leeds or perhaps offer our players to a team in League One.

Can't see it being Leeds. Why hype the announcement if it's a repeat of last year's setup?
Not being linked with a SL side might be noble, but also smacks of us cutting off our nose to spite our face a little.

I don’t think we’ll have an SL D/R partner this year. I think we’ll have “learnt our lesson” on how “disruptive “ it can be and will maybe do a D/R with Hunslet for example.

Well I've never been a fan of dual reg. It seems to cause more problems than it solves. When we stopped making use of it as much we seemed to improve last year but there will have been other contributory factors too. If we do go for a partnership with a SL side I hope we don't see the same revolving door used on 1st team selection as early last year. I'd be happy enough to see us not bother and use our academy and longer term loans if needed.

Dual reg wasn't a huge success for us in 2023, there will be players available for longer term loans who would jump at the chance of coming to Odsal for the season. Fenton was a huge success, if we manage to get player of his ilk again that seems a far more sensible route.

Fenton was brilliant for us, I really hope he kicks on at the giants next season and hits the jackpot, I see him as a future international no danger

Its the most obvious link up but personally I can't see it. Duel reg players tend to be last minute additions so how that would work with being based in South of France I don't see.

Plus don't they run a second string in French Elite (St Esteve Catalans?)
