I think the RFL know whom they want in charge, the demands for the purchaser to prove their funds within 24 hours is a little shocking.
I seem to remember Willey meeting the RFL a couple of times when OK was still in charge. She never stated what she was discussing, but made a spectacle, so that everyone knew she was discussing the club with the RFL.
She has recently admitted that she has been putting her bid together for over a year. I just get the feeling something smelly is happening. My earlier defense of the RFL seems a little premature as their recent media stating something along the lines of "The RFL doesn't decide who buys the club, that's the administrators job" seems to be untrue as the RFL have prevented new owners, to the point that even Mr Lams seems to have stated the following:
From the T&A
However, Lamb was yesterday told by the RFL that his group were no longer considered the preferred bidder and that the club was effectively back up for grabs.
Why would the RFL tell Lamb he was no longer the preferred bidder?
It's all getting a little unbearable, who is actually running this show?!
