He's stood by us through everything though, a great clubman and whilst he may not be what we need to get back to SL, nobody can ever question his loyalty, commitment to the cause or his passion for the club.

We should be careful what we wish for, as York found out this year, beware mercenaries.

I doubt we can compete with Newcastle's spending power nowadays unfortunately. He'd be a decent signing tho.

To be fair, it wasn't mercenaries that were the issue, they were just all really old.
