Steve Ferres has done the CEO job at York, Cas and of course Wakey.

IIRC he resigned from Cas this time last year, straight after a whupping by the Bulls, (remember - Kearney hat-trick?) saying he wanted to do various initiatives but the board basically would not/could not fund anything he wanted to do and so there was no point.

There is something more than a little fishy about all this. The administrator appointed by Green appoints him as the owner with one of the RFL's boys in charge. And it comes out that the winning bid is no better than the Koukash's.
I wonder if Green has agreed to not cause a fuss about the points deduction.

Well at least we have an owner and now out of special measures, hard to get too excited given previous let downs though. Obviously he isn't in the same league in terms of wealth as MK but let's hear what he has to say first before writing him off. Perhaps there is still an opportunity for others to get on board if they're interested.

Steve Ferres didnt lead Wakey into any finacial disasters, hes as tight as gnatts chaff.

He will get value for every penny spent, my only criticisms of him would be his personality and he has itchy feet. I think he will do well for you.

Mandy Koukash said she would be able to work with the new owner and invest in the club. I seriously doubt that any new owner would turn down the opportunity for a ready and willing wealthy investor to come on board so if it doesn't happen then we can draw our own conclusions.

I don't understand Koukash if he is whingeing about it; surely if Mandy had just put in the best bid, even by say £10K, then she'd have got the club? If they bid so close to the perceived line, and misjudged it, then it's just like losing an auction on ebay by a fiver isn't it?

Mr Koukash also said that it was inevitable that Mandy would get involved with ANOTHER club at some point.

I have simply no idea what to think now. But I like the fact we have an owner. The fact that he was at pains to point out in his press release that if he just wanted his money back he would have had us wound up at least gives me a feeling that total oblivion is off the table for the time being.
