I'm old enough to remember when you lot used to sing but when we come, if you ever manage to score then this billion-watt sound system kicks-in,this is bound to puit folk off, you couldnt hear yourself think let alone sing. they blare out poop nonstop. I reckon for them that used to sing its made it like watching on the telly not being there, they just listen.

Didn't hear much singing from you a couple of weeks back when we kicked your butts. Except for the obligatory saints club song "Forward".

To be fair without getting into a my grounds better than your ground blah blah blah slanging match. I've never found Odsall a good ground for generating an atmosphere. Now Valley parade would be much better. That or a major re building of odsall so it has more than 1 roof.

Taking some positive action like this is probably the only way to improve the atmosphere to a marked degree.
af, the foundations are certainly there to start something off. Surely there are some people on here with marketing experience who can pick this up and take it to another level.

Being a "member" of such a group would certainly make you feel part of something and you'd almost feel obliged to get to every game, so not to let anyone down.

When (and if) the OSV is complete, that would be an ideal time to "pick a side" to congregate.

I've mentioned on here before the difference in atmosphere at football games, where pretty much everyone buys into what we are talking about. I know Chelsea have all the song words on the website. Also Man U even have "song writers" that make new chants up and distribute the words in the Stretford end, which then catch on to the full ground.

I hope this keeps the momentum...

I'm stopping in the stand. Somebody has to roust the troops at that side. Though a lot are coffin dodgers and it ain't easy . . .

Its a good idea but i dont get back for many games with me been at uni. It takes courage and organisation to form a singing group mind, if you turn up and no one joins in you've got to be able to keep singing and come back every week doing the same thing until people catch on. As far as im aware the city gents started off with a drum and using membership donations to make a big flag. If anybody has time on their hands a singing group would be an interesting idea.
