He's actually picked quite a clever squad
Lots of players there who, in the words of the saying, 'have a lot to prove'. Obvious people like Joseph, through to people like Platt, Sykes and Crookes who need to force their way into the coaches plans, and then people like Ainscough, Walker, Sibbit and Jeffries who have new signings breathing down their necks, and need to put in good pre-season performances. In fact the only player in that squad who can feel fairly relaxed about his starting slot is Jamie Langley.
It looks like a squad who should - and I emphasise 'should' - be highly motivated.
