Probably a post for the Featherstone thread once a brave soul has started jt but I see Featherstone have poked fun at our ‘statement’.

I hope it is printed out and stuck to every surface at Odsal and tong as motivation for Monday. With a bit of fire in the bellies we might only lose by 40….

Fev are brilliant on the pitch it’s a shame they can’t seem to help themselves with stuff like this on social media. I’ve seen a few SL clubs doing it recently as well and I think it’s really unprofessional. Leave the ‘banter’ to the fans.

It’s really naff but so was the original statement. If the club are going to come out with statements like that they ask for the p155 taking out of them IMO. It’s the social media equivalent of playing we will rock you when the crowd go quiet.

Fev's Twitter account did a similar bit of teasing with Halifax before we played them and the Fax Twitter account responded in kind, all good fun.

I must admit I'm not overly bothered, but just in general terms I'd say "Banter" is supposed to be among equals. A way to poke fun at your peers. I'd be wary of taking the pee of clubs that are not your peers, because that runs the risk of just being snide.

Fev’s banter social media doesn’t bother me, it just creates a rod for their own back on the very slim chance it blows up in their face. Everyone remembers Fev’s destination super league T-Shirts from last year after all….

I don't blame them for giving it the bigun while they're doing well. Things won't be so easy in SL and I fully expect them to be back amongst the rest of us also rans in a year or two.

I hope they go up tbh. The comments on the VT after super league fans have been there will be worth it alone. Plus they’ll get spanked every week and then be relegated after a year in the knowledge that they’ll never be at the same level ever again.
