I'd take all I hear with a pinch of salt, particularly as it's from the T&A board and after everything we've gone through.
Marc Green may have “won” but what’s he got? A club that makes huge losses and is as things stand one of the favourites for relegation. If relegation happens he’s got even bigger headaches. He’s likely to have next to no chance of getting his money back.
Obviously the other bidders are unhappy but I don’t see what Green will gain by winning if he’s only interested in taking money out of the club. We have no money to take!
His only chance to have a prayer of getting his money back is to keep the club in SL and that’s going to take some more investment.
I guess we’ll have to see what happens next. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.
All the bidders had question marks against them at the end of the day.
He HAS to bring in a backer from somewhere, no ifs, ands or buts without we are more doomed than a withered old man with unfulfilled desires piled up to twice as high as mtEverest (there was a more doomed phrase from a TV show but I just cant remember it, something to do with a girl and mick jagger but it escapes me).
He may have some wealth but I doubt he will bang roll us to the required amount, in order to avoid the drop and he can get something back.
Mandy Koukash bid £25k for the club Richard Lambe £50k other bids were higher then this all bids were submitted to the Administrator where Mr Marc Green has been able to view these as a preferential creditor.
To do think that could have happened? The winner being the person who appointed the administrator then had access to all other bids? But if we head off down that conspiracy rabbit hole why did the Administrator seemingly pick Lamb first? Or did he? Could be just made up rubbish.
Rumours like this, and some of the facts we do know, coupled with bitter recent experience, is why rather than be delighted we have an owner I just have a sinking feeling. But I also pretty much dont trust what anyone says anymore about anything to do with the club.
Its going to take time and positive actions not words to heal that, and I suspect Im not alone.
I can only wish him good luck, try to trust Mr Green and judge him at face value by his actions with my club, starting with bringing the playing squad up to a level to compete against seemingly inevitable relegation.
If you had not spent it on something else or it had gone to support losses already?
Well yes, that's precisely my point. And we were hardly the only business in the land being funded by Bank of HMRC, but if the business doesn't go bust then the taxpayer does not lose out.

...you don't actually have "cash in the bank" from payroll deductions, you pay the next wages and are meant to pay the deductions to HMRC the following month.
It may be semantics but there comes a day when you have wages to pay. If I work for you, let's say that you owe me £5000 wages. That is what I am entitled to, and it is all my money, so you should have it, to pay me.
By law though you need to hold back some of MY MONEY because you have to be an unpaid tax collector. So I just get the net amount. The fact that you ACCOUNT to HMRC at some later point is nothing else but administrative convenience.
Now I entirely get that you may not have anything other than the net salaries in your bank, but if that's the case, it's cos you have already spent some of MY MONEY that I EARNED and belongs to HMRC. I don't necessarily expect you to keep it separately though that would be ideal, but I DO expect you to pay it on the day you should.
I know how businesses are run and how margins are tight, and if when the payment is due it is made, then it doesn't in that situation much matter, but if you do NOT make the payment on the due date because you no longer have the money then basically to my way of thinking you have stolen my/taxpayers money and spent it keeping your business afloat instead of using other shall we say more legitimate methods of bankrolling your business.

I'm certain it's made up rubbish, for the simple reason that we know Lamb's bid was accepted, and we know that if he had produced the proof of funding demanded by the RFL then he would have been the owner. So the rant in the T&A is plainly nonsense.
