If I was him, I don't think I would. I would offer a big discount to old existing season ticket holders, maybe 50% or whatever, but I would not admit them free.

Assuming not everyone would stay away, as a back-of-a-fag-packet example 10 home games with 5000 people paying an average of £10 each would be £1/2m

10 home games with 5000 season ticket holders would be an income of £nil

If he charged then I wouldn't take it personally, even though I paid top dollar for my ticket, simply because I don't see where else the £1/2m is going to come from. Goodwill in honouring season tickets is great, if you have a billionaire who can construct a half-decent squad out of his own pocket but if - knowing our money is long gone- we don't pay, then where do we think the money to try to keep our team SL survivable will come from?

You came very close to suggesting "pledge - the sequel" there FA.

Not sure how many ST's were actually sold less than 3k I seem to recall but as one of them I would stump up for the cause though would be nice to see some incentive from the club to recognise existing ST holders

I agree, I hope that as we speak they are planning a long and clever campaign to try to begin the very hard process of restoring at least the beginnings of some small measure of confidence in the long-suffering fans, long hard road though that will be.

For which reason incidentally a "Pledge 2014" would I think be about as successful as a raffle for Whitcut's soiled underpants might be.

Although in contrast, I have a sneaky feeling that a move to own a decent wedge of the club and have a seat on the Board and thus a say in the running, through Bullbuilder, would have a much better prospect of generating some interest.

From what I understand, the whole club may have been bought for less than £100k this time. based on which, is it impossible to envisage Bullbuilder members raising £25k over a period to buy a 25% stake?

Figure club used was 5.5k although it was never clear how many freebies were included in that figure. Ie did they include the free tickets to under 12s?. Lowest figure I've seen mentioned for paying season tickets was 3.5k. Suspect honouring season tickets will have been a stipulation from RFL before they ratified green.
I'd guess maybe half of people with tickets would be prepared to pay again so its a balancing act 300k extra income against potentially losing 1.5k of hardcore. Once people get out of habit of going its hard work getting them back.

No, it wasn't mentioned.

But would people stop going altogether in some fit of pique? that would be like saying to Greemn that he has some sort of moral obligation to provide you with rugby for free. They may not all buy cheap season tickets, but even so, would I think mostly come to at least several of the games, if not all, even if they then had to pay full whack at the gate.

A person can't be described as 'hardcore' if they are prepared to jack it in immediately altogether and never come back? That's softest of soft core to me. Anyway, just my view.

Be a good idea to have a William Eve which is Gutted. Poor lad has been wrong so many times one feels for him.

Re Season Ticket Holders/New Season Ticket Holders - suggest a new 18 month ticket would be best option with a discount to all existing ST holders.

That would please existing ST holders and also cover should the Bulls be relegated.

Thank you very much for sharing that. I think it has added so much to the subject being discussed, and I found it extremely interesting to know. I feel your pain and hope that, in time, you will get over it, and be able to move on.

Hmm. "Buy your 2015 season ticket now, and get the rest of this season thrown in". Yes, I think something like that could work.

I certainly go along with your suggestion on Bullbuilder would make sense to build a fighting fund as though I am sure many fans would beprepared to help don't think many would write a blank cheque to the club again
