Interesting signing who could be a big asset if he is coming over to get his career back on track, interested to hear what he has to say on the move. He has bags of experience and has played in some big matches at the highest level. Let's be honest, he won't need to find his State of Origin form to be a stand out player in this country if he turns up with the right attitude.

Plenty of competition and options for Jimmy and his staff heading into the business end of the season. It all starts now!

Exactly. Some people read too much on wikipedia and look into the tries per game ratio and decide if it's a good signing or not. Equally some get too excited because they look good on a highlights reel. But you don't play state of origin for Queensland if you're a poor player. Keith Lulia is the best centre we've had since Shontayne. But he was no where near SOO and couldn't even get in the Wests team at first when he went back down under. Lets see what he can do in a Bulls shirt before making judgement. Unknowns from down under come to SL and rip it up. Star NRL players come over and get slaughtered.

But he certainly has some pedigree and has performed at the highest level so he has some ability. Lets hope he can produce that ability in a Bulls shirt

Just me who's a little concerned by the fact that he hasn't actually got his visa yet?
You'd think the club might have learned from the Greg Bird farce to get all the paperwork sorted BEFORE you announce the signing!

I'm not Dane's biggest fan but he will improve our side no doubt. If it was my choice I'd put him in the centres instead of Blythe. I like Matty and he works hard, but he's not a centre imo and wingers outside him very rarely get a pass. Clare/Williams could find themselves with a lot of opportunities playing outside Nielsen.

My first thought was who would I put outside him?
Caro or Clare could get a bagful of tries with him and if he can tackle then he may help make the both of them.
I also thought that at his age and if he likes it in Bradford where he will find the women quite "tasty" he may do a "Delaney" and end up in the second row.
It all comes down to why he has come here. I have no doubt the lads will make him welcome and he should settle in quickly - within 7 days hopefully. Monaghan at Wire came after a mad moment he probably regrets. If this lad does as well as him he will do OK. We will know after a few games what frame of mind he is in. This type of signing is probably the only way we can afford this pedigree of NRL player. It's a gamble but probably worth it. The other centres must now feel a bit annoyed and some backs are clearly leaving this winter but that is how it is. Clare and Nielsen are clearly better quality backs for next year.

Well they've specifically stated this week as his arrival, so you'd assume that the paperwork is pretty much done and dusted for them to put that in the press release.
