Has anyone ever actually seen evidence that Wakefield were threatened with expulsion? Or is it all hearsay?

Seem to remember there was an interview with carter on radio Leeds a couple of months back. Before interview wakey fans were saying he was going to clarify exactly what wakey had been told re admin in interview. When it actually came out he dodged the question and refused today anything definite iirc.

He says the RFL might not agree until end of this season or next season or never.

Therefore if he really does have the means to buy the freehold, then maybe he should forget the RFL altogether and negotiate with the Council. If he succeeds in buying the freehold, then the RFL would find themselves tenants of Marc Green.

Now THAT would be funny.

Haha yes that would be good

I think a massive rent increase would be in order, maybe the RFL could take money off all the other clubs to give to the Bulls

Have I got that the right way round

It's not hearsay if it comes from the person to whom the threat was made, and in fact Carter repeats it in that press interview.

I don't think, however, he has issued a press release. It sounds to me like he was asked a question and answered it. He's not a media bloke. He's an accountant who ended up being given the job of running a rugby club.

To be fair, I think most people expected a four point reduction, as that is consistent with previous penalties. I'm expecting you to get two back.
