Just been on Radio Leeds, though a bit light on specifics, it seems that the previous bid has been rejected by the administrator/creditors but a 'new' bid is now being considered, so we're not yet being wound up. They don't know who is behind the bid, though they believe it might be a splinter from one of the other groups plus someone new. So they 'believe' it 'might' be...as I say, a bit light on specifics.

Also, as a potential creditor [via my paid for season ticket] I wonder why I haven't been asked to attend the meeting?

Nothing as to why the bid was rejected though? Do you think we will ever know?

Depends whose asking

Re: Administration 3 - now in technicolour : Thu Dec 29, 2016 5:33 pm
Now I'm confused.

El red says Danny (Leo Group) is the new bid - but Frank is suggesting that Danny Sawrij has been in since the beginning.

At one point I thought both Frank & El Red knew the true story - but now even they are contradicting each other.

Can the real bidder please stand up

I'm confident the one that was rejected was Chalmers - Sadlers exact words were:

"Just spoken to Andrew Chalmers, the former chief of the NZRL, who tells me that his bid to buy @OfficialBullsRL has been rejected."

Pretty bold statement to make if he hasn't actually spoken to him directly!

The Only vague part about that is that it does not confirm that it was his bid that the rfl accepted

Not necessarily contradicting each other if it is a revised bid, i.e. creditors said no, and they are upping their bid.

I have been confused for weeks. Does anyone know what is going on?
I don't even know what day it is.

So maybe he sees the Odsal site as a potential place for Bradford to have one of these digester or biomass plant things. After all recycling is high on the agenda for both environmental and political reasons. Maybe saving the Bulls and buying the land can boost his company further. The money he would make using that land would fund the Bulls without him having to dip his hand in his pocket. Saying that the interest on his £360million would probably fund the Bulls and leave him some cash left over

Bfd Met, along with Calderdale, were going to build such a plant at Bowling Back Lane last year, but it was backheeled late in the day. Not entirely sure why, but I think it had something to do with a grant failing to materialise which screwed up the finances. IIRC the Govt money went on to fund a similar scheme in Leeds [no surprise there then].

I'd guess a private company may well find it a good investment and Odsal would be ideal, given its past use, ease of access and sheer size. I'd guess the council would get a fair old price for the land and be able to provide a suitable ground for the Bulls, maybe to be built by the new owner. Wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall in the meeting between company, club, council and RFL - I think I've got headache already.

I tweeted Rohan to express my concerns for staff and players through all this and this was his reply:
@PHILISAN it's bigger than us... it's also about the club, the fans, the city & the game in general

What a true gent!

Seems a bit silly for someone worth circa £400m, who owns a company with £50m+ annual turnover, to be reaching a sticking point over paying someone back the £650k they are owed. It's pennies to Sawrij, his company will have earned that much in the next fortnight!
You want rid of Green it's simple - pay him his money back.

Finally caught up on the thread. All the best to Philisan, and kudos for bumping the post count in a poignant way.

And what, no-one saw my little clues on page 350 "Dan" & 351 "Leo"?! Pfft.

I actually saw Sadler very briefly today about 11.30am, little did I know the chaos he would cause!! I heard then it was the Chalmers bid that had been rejected.
