Well to be honest if the points deduction is for this year it probably won't matter much if it's 4 or 20 points in terms of reaching the 8. I suppose it's not all that important in the grand scheme of things either, although the extra cash for finishing in the play offs would no doubt be handy,

I believe the points deduction for admin is based on the level of debt, so I could well believe the 9 point rumour.

We dont have a lot of debt.

9 points is no more of a penalty for us than 4 points - either would dump us out of playoff contention

Im not sure.. it's pretty snug up there. All it takes is for a team to have a few `off` weeks and up we'd go. Wouldn't be easy though. Nine would mean we'd have no chance at all.

To be honest I don't see how you can be given 9pt deduction when others only get 4. Personally if anyone goes into admin it should be at least 9 points. 4 just isn't a punishment.

But as others say the RFL do seem to make thing up as they go along

I suspect some folk are adding 2 + 2 and getting 187, knowing that the Bulls deadline was indicated as being tomorrow.

This RFL announcement looks like it may be something to do with the English national team, as far as I can see.

Yes, apparently its timed for 6 am - which seems a bit of an odd timing for something to do with a club going into Admin.

My totally speculative guess is that the 6 am time and the England RL Twitter hashtag is that it is something to do with an England vs Australia match up

I doubt it'll be a 9 point deduction. IIRC Championship clubs that went into admin got a 9 point deduction as it was a 3-game deduction, which is why many were surprised when Crusaders and Wakefield received a 4 point (2 game deduction) instead of 6 (3 game deduction).
I'm fairly sure it'll be a 4-point deduction if/when Bradford go into admin.
