I don't understand your gripe with Asim - maybe he is negative but usually his points are well argued. ME used to be more like this but I think the long debates with af and FA have turned the debate into a personal crusade for him to be proven right, losing sight of the bigger picture. It is a shame ME didn't stick to making judgements about McNamara until 10 games and wipe the slate clean as he promised - it would show he can 'change the record' and give him added ammunition if the situation is as dire (as he predicts?) after said 10 games.
I think that there is an element of truth in this TBF. I know that people will get wound up by opinions that I make and, lets be honest, a lot of it is made with the sole intention of provoking exactly the sort of reaction that often results. Much in the same way that some people do not like my opinion, I can object to constant nit-picking and comments from certain people who seem to solely exist on here in order to have a go at points that, although are pretty much spot on, do not fall under peoples' opinions of what is "best for the clubs' interest".
All in all, I reckon that that I will try and calm down with my opinion as long as people realise that there are people out there whose sole aim seems to be to provoke an outurst then slate such an outburst when their job has been done.
Also, it always confuses me that if someone else makes the type of post that I often make then nothing gets said until I join the debate and then the vitriol starts flowing.
One thing is for certain though, and you touched upon it in your post, is that some people do take things FAR TOO seriously if, as has been mentioned, I am being discussed at the game by some people. Perhaps I am making more of an impact than I thought I could.
However, one thing I will add is that I have always been welcomed when I make a trip to Odsal by the Bradford people and that is something I do not wish to jeapordise. My opinions about the coach will take a hell of a lot of changing and we will see how things go from here. Hopefully we will see some improvement and I will have nothing to moan about?
It saddens me that some people feel that they cannot post on a message board because they do not like my opinion. I thought that a message board discussion forum was the type of place that people can onto in order to do just that?

But I will give it my best shot........
I will always defend your right to say what you like on here (within the confines of the AUP and common descency) whether I agree with your opinion or not.
BUT
Your comments on an earlier post a few weeks ago about Rebecca Adlington were totally out of order. She is a national treasure.
One thing is for certain though, and you touched upon it in your post, is that some people do take things FAR TOO seriously if, as has been mentioned, I am being discussed at the game by some people
That's them that sit in the stand for you. Us real people with ground entry tickets don't because we are too out of breath from walking up to the moon for a wee. Really difficult with one lung.
Surely everyone has the RIGHT to an opinion, however right or wrong it maybe? That's the point of places like these.
But why get so wound up over others points osf view? If you don't like it, don't read it. You pretty much know what ME is going to say in his posts, so don't read them if it annoys you!
Im glad though that the vast majority of Bulls fans do not use the boards and are therefore free of this horrible negativity.
And I do raise eyebrows at people who feel qualified to go on at length about the positives or negatives of a team's performance if they have not seen it.
It like when you go into work and someone says "the Bulls were rubbish last night" and you go "Oh? Did you go?" and they say "Oh no, I'm not paying to watch that rubbish."
So how do they know they were rubbish?
The score does not always tell the whole story.

Im not sure I buy this "people dont post just because of certain posters stuff" If you dont want to post for whatever reason then dont, fine, I didnt post much over the off season as I thought it might be all a bit negative and my work commitments changed, but it wasnt because of any one poster and I still read the board occationally. But to say your put off by one individuals attitude is not something I understand, just avoid reading or commenting on that persons posts and make your own thoughts known. So I wouldnt feel too bad about other proples percieved problems with posting if I were you. just maybe dont put "Mystic Eddie" on the back of your bulls shirt the next time you visit Odsal - just to be safe.
I disagree with the negativity and so I've said so, but I respect the views of yourself, RER, Paul and others who are clearly more cheesed off with the situation than me (despite you clearly being in the wrong ) and we need people to feel they can put both sides of the discussion in an open forum, and I think for the most part that is the case.
We are all (mostly) Bradford fans at the end of the day afterall.
...I await your new thread after the 10th game of the season with great interest...

We are rubbish mind...
...we're rubbish? so are you saying you dont go to games??? - how very dare you post a view about not going to games in that case...
One thing that puzzles me a bit is this: If I, or anyone, puts a post on a thread, then in principle we should be free to argue the point for as long as we want to, shouldn't we? Within the bounds of civilized debate, of course.
If a thread goes outside that, or ceases to have a point, then the mods can (and do) lock them.
Till then, if someone finds that a particular thread is (or has become) irritating or irrelevant to them - then why read it?
If they don't want to talk about that, but want to talk about something else, then what's stopping them?
Ah, well there's the rub. The problem is that the NT do not feel that they should stick to the relevant threads. Thread drift is one thing, but frequently a thread on a different point is diverted into yet another "Sack Mac" flame war, or somthing similar, instead of sticking to the point raised. I do accept of course that in some cases there is an inevitable connection to be made, and so in some cases some duplication may be inevitable, but what I would say a lot more than 5 people resent is where thread after thread is funnelled back down the "Sack Mac" route.
I said earlier that if someone finds that a particular thread is (or has become) irritating or irrelevant to them then they don't have to read it. But there is the next problem, since if someone who doesn't have as firm views, shall we say, on the "Sack Mac" issue, finds that half the threads are developing into a re-hash of the main "Sack Mac" thread then they will very likley get pished off.
So as a Bulls fan - what to do? If an NT post pops up in a thread, the choice for me is either:
(a) let it go; or
(b) challenge it.
In this situation, it seems damned if you do, and damned if you don't. I am not prepared to let constant negativity go unchallenged, and so won't "let it go" because it's not (imho) the right thing to do. I believe that I am as entitled to my POV as are those who think the opposite. But it is not me who raised the point, in that new thread, I am just responding to it. Yet I can then stand accused of being responsible for a thread derailment into (for example) "another FA / ME spat".
It is entirely up to the mods how they treat such viral outbreaks of the same debate, but let's be clear about one thing - it is only the posting of the NT comment on a thread that was nothing to do with it that started the thread derailment. If the NT post 'em, then I for one will respond to them, as the NT views are just that, the NT's personal opinions, not given facts, and so I will respond with my opinions.
You therefore need to look at which post started the particular argument in any thread. If that is allowed to stand, then it has got to be fair enough to allow replies. Otherwise the point of a forum for discussion is defeated.
