Yeah Medley said that although Horton looks great running from dummy half his defence needs to improve.

IMO any hooker replacement for Newton needs to be a proven player. Most clubs seem to use two hookers so we need at least one top notch one. Godwin is ok but never going to be top class.

Bradford gave us Hockney, Leeds gave us Moyles.

WTF? How would bringing in a decent pro to hold our end up while the young lads develop be a betrayal of B4TF™?

Why sign anybody to hold anything up, we should be llooking at the best players available on the market. Drew isn't in the catagory for that position.

He's not that good, he's 33 and we'd get minimal time out of him.
Signing either Wing or Diskin (both who are internationally quality hookers in the prime of their careers)to start at 9 for us and for our young players to develop under for a few years would be a far better option for building for the future.

Seriously mate, whats your fascination with bringing in these has beens?

First you want El Masri and now Brad Drew? Turning us into Dads Army is not the way forward at all and would only further compound the sorry state we are in.

Easy he's 34 in a few weeks. It would also send out the wrong message to the 19 and 20 year olds in the squad sorry lads we want you to play second fiddle to a has been.

Hudds and Wakey have been happy enough to get rid, and he's certainly not my idea of pace. He's looking his age and is frequently targeted at the PTB as a weak link by opposing teams, if we sign Drew, Medley better get his voice oiled as he'll need to make a lot more rousing speeches.

I'm still holding out some drastic hope this isn't true.

I know he's not everyones favourite on here, but he always gives 100%, and he's certainly curbed his bad temper down whilst he's been with us.

He'll be very hard to replace, and its going to be disappointing to see him leave!

The only way I'd be happy to see Newton move on would be if signed either Wing or Diskin to play 9 for us, I'd probably even take that Heath L'e at a push, as long as we signed a cracking half back.

Hall, Wing and Disko and I'd be a very happy bunny. Can't see that by a long shot though.
