Who knows what attitude we will turn up with on Sun. If it's the right one then we have the players to get a win, but the way we've performed this year it is hard to back us to beat them.

I'd settle for a good performance for +60 mins,,

Worst part of it to me is that I aren't that bothered about the result. If we win, not bad but so what, we will do FA the week after. If we lose, it's becoming the norm.

I'll be there (and I'll be there next year) but it doesn't really mean anything now.

I'm hoping to see a good hearty performance from the players this week even though we have nothing to play for. I want to be see us be tenacious and ruthless. I'd like to see young Crossley get a (proper)go, especially as he has been playing really well latley, this would also mean we wouldnt have to move Sam around mid game. Throwing 4 or 5 rookies in is not the thing to do this week, however I feel giving 2 perhaps 3 of them a game would leave us the right balance between experience and youth, and the enthusiasm from the kids could easily rub of on these blundering experienced pro's.

Thats why even myself (wigan fan) unsure about this week. We struggled against Catalan it was one of those games where earlier in the season we would have lost by 2

What's your reason behind dropping Worrincy? He's done more to warrant a first team place than Cook imo. And why have you put Sykes on the wing?

Judging by what I've seen, the players I'd like to see get a try most are Whitehead (if fit), Crossley & Donaldson. Wouldn't be opposed to Olbison getting some decent time either.

Play Donaldson at 6 and Whitehead and Crossley off the bench, but do it by still giving them plenty of game time, not just 5 minutes from the end.

That way you're not putting loads of young players in and basically making it an academy game, you're letting them get a run out with the first team.

I'd also like to see a centre in place of Sykes, but I'm guessing the only fit option there would be Straugheir?

I agree with most you've said, but I'd really like to see Hyde get a go aswell. You're right about Straugheir, but i'll say it again, it's a real big shame that Crookes is out injured.

Perhaps Hyde might be someone to play off the bench, as I think getting Halley plenty of game time at fullback is important for his development and ongoing improvement.

Although that's chucking a lot in at once so i'd be tempted to include Cook/Worrincy over Whitehead or Donaldson.
