Dunning got that wrong and the subs today.
Not the only thing that was wrong. It was absolute pathetic from min 1 to min 80.

On that one I don’t think he has a choice as part of the agreement

So he gets told who he can have? Does he have a choice on whether to select them in the 13?

Ruan looks disinterested. He got outpaced by Webster today. A man old enough to be his father. Then spent time stretching his hamstrings. God knows why since he'd done absolutely nothing in the game.

Felt sorry for Roberts. Made loads of errors. DFJ would've been a better selection since a derby game isn't a good place to make a debut on dual reg.

As far I understand it (correct me if I am wrong), we literally have no choice with DR. That's the big issue I have with the whole concept. Leeds decides the players they provide (and obviously, it is who suits them), and we HAVE to play them.

We had our (likely) three biggest signings out (Lawrence, Thompson and Walker) and had three kids from Leeds who were only in the team because Leeds made them come and play for us.

It must be sickening for Foggin-Johnson. Every time Leeds wants to play one of their kids on the wing, he gets dropped.

Is it any wonder we were "outenthused"

Seems to me like Leeds send us who they want, and we have no choice but to play them. Would love a journo to come out and ask Dunning that directly but they wont.

Think this needs to be out in the open because it's potentially a massive issue.

Re: Keighley (A) : Sun Mar 26, 2023 5:08 pm
I just knew that was going to happen. This game had banana skin written all over it. We were so unbelievably poor across the park we made a very average team look like world beaters. I felt defensively we were pretty good during the first 20 mins where Keighley never seemed to leave our try line. We defended well when Rodgers was in the bin but were the masters of our own downfall by silly errors in vital positions.

The final 10/15 mins of the first half was where the game was lost. We let them roll over our left side time after time and didn't have any answers for it. We came out after half time and then let the ball go out from the kick off. Unforgivable errors to make when you’re staring down a massive deficit.

It was an awful selection choice to have Roberts and Ruan starting in such a tense derby game. Massive lesson learnt for those Rhinos academy players today. DFJ must be asking himself how the hell he got dropped after that display.

Keighley’s first competitive win against us since 1945. Embarrassing.

Gilly was good enough to hold our left edge together to begin with, but as soon as he went off and Roberts didn’t have an experienced centre to help him, he really struggled.
Completion was shocking as well.
I think the only reason we have D/R is to get Tindall. And the only reason we need Tindall is the singing of that PNG winger fell through.
Overall, we were out-enthused, which is shocking for a derby.

The worst part of it was not that we lost. But in the lack of enthusiasm from the players. The lack of ideas in attack.
Some of them just did not seem intrested. If you can not get up for a local derby why are you even puling on a jersey. Just awful.
