Hi everyone,
First off a reminder that the next meeting is on Thursday 12th November, where we will assign some specific positions within the group and start planning towards the open meeting.
I'm sure there are some people who would like to attend the meeting but are unavailable (or might be unavailable), but unfortunately it's virtually impossible at this stage to find a day when everyone can attend. It would be great for those people who would like to help out, but can't make the meeting, to let me know their name, email address and perhaps their occupation and skills. That way, if anything comes out of the meeting that they could help with we can contact you afterwards.
Also, if anyone who can't attend is interested in filling any of the following positions let me know and we'll include you when we vote in your absence. Remember these positions are only temporary at the moment, and may change after the open meeting. We'll be voting for:
Chair (run the meetings, set the agenda)
Secretary (take minutes of the meetings, publish the minutes)
Treasurer (take care of any money-related matters)
Media Officer (spread the word of the open meeting in the media such as T&A)
Club Liason Officer (communication between the group and the club)
Membership Officer (direct communication with supporters of the trust, keep up-to-date mailing list)
Supporters Direct Liason Officer (communicate with supporters direct)
Don't forget you don't have to have to have one of these positions to help out in any of these areas, so if you'd like to help without taking a specific role we'd still love to hear from you if you can't attend on the day. There will also be more roles to fill after the open meeting.
