Why not? If it's a season long loan, it's perfectly normal to give 1-13 numbers to a loanee. Jamie Ellis is number 7 at Hull K.R. this year for example.

Where were all these SL clubs when we originally signed him from London?
What has changed between now and then that suddenly makes him hot property?
Absolutely sick and fed up of being picked apart by other clubs.

The way I see it especially in KR's case the weaker we are the stronger it makes them?
Or is that me been paranoid?

Hull KR at least makes some sense in that they're in our division and in most cases needed the players as much as we did.

But SL clubs coming in for Foster now, so late in the pre season, makes little sense to me.

I suspect it's more a case of the journo twisting it slightly. In reality it might just be Foster's agent doing his job by stirring it up in the press about his client.

I'd like to think the logic of leaving stating numbers vacant is to sign starting quality players to occupy said numbers...I'm just not convinced that's the case, I wait to be pleasantly surprised....or predictably disappointed.
