It's been clear for a week that the consortium wanted a guaranteed SL place as part of the deal.

So why didn't the RFL either have a quick meeting with the other 13 clubs, or if there wasn't time, then a video conference, or even phone calls, to get everyone's views and decision?

It seems ridiculous if they are going to turn around now and say 'Oh we can't accept the offer because we can't speak for the other clubs' when it could have all been sorted by now with a bit of effort.

Suspect odsal prt of deal may be a bigger sticking point tbh.

Maybe the RFL are seeking to buy time for a proposal more to their liking to manifest itself? Just a thought to throw into the mix?

There appears to be an assumption that the condition is SL status. Perhaps their condition is that they want the lease back and only pay a fiver for it. The first offer was always going to be derisory in attempt to test the water. I anticipate far more commercially acceptable offers to follow until a common ground can be found.

Well I bloody hope so anyway!

Just like Glover got no assurances the RFL have done the same. The difference being it's a lot of money to take Bulls out of admin compared to Wakefield situation which didn't take as much. If this is the case then will this stop talks. Didn't they already make an unsatisfactory offer already if so then the RFL have given them the low down of what they want from them to take over bulls and guessing there won't be any budging.

you may be right HLL , but if so why has there been no report today of ANY offer being tabled . We are now about an hour after the normal close of business and no news .
