I like your logic. And fans should be able to express joy or pain in performances as they see fit. I do also think that others have an equal right to disagree. Telling Mick to f off, is coarse, crude and perhaps inarticulate, but we don't generally have a right not to be offended by others.
Mick's obviously offended and rightfully so, but I don't think we should reasonably expect either of them to moderate their behaviors, even if we'd prefer either or both them to have done.
