Sam Alladyce getting the sack at Newcastle in December, THAT was a knee jerk reaction. The sacking of a coach whose taken defending champions and, over 3 years, turned them into wooden spoon competitors that is not.

I still think there was more than a little bit of a machiavellian tilt to your original comment that tried to make it sound like there were a host of people with that view, but hey, who said it was wrong to let a few simple facts get in the way of a good story
