He didn't get much chance to show his stuff.

One thing that annoyed me about the reserves game was our unprofessional approach. Whoever coaches them needs a slap.

No way should we have players running onto the field just before kick off pulling there jerseys on in dribs and drabs. The 13 should be all on the pitch stripped and ready and concentrating. The slack approach cost us two early tries. While Wigan were obviously the better side they'd warmed up for longer and looked a far more professional outfit in their drills and looked up for it.

Are you sure you were watching the reserve game?

Stayed to watched the reserves to try and cheer myself up with the fact that the future is bright, unfortunately we got thrashed! Defence was a big problem with the reserves as well and Wigan made easy yards all match.

I thought Hyde played ok in attack in a beaten team but looked a little suspect in defence. He's probably not quite ready for SL on that showing at least. Rudd was big and powerful with quite a turn of pace for a big man, however his defence looked a little suspect. He was blowing a bit towards the end too so a bit of work there as well. But he looks like he could be a handful if those area's can be improved.

Think most of our better prospects are in the academy judging by that performance!

Crossley looked like he could do with losing a bit of flab and improving his leg strength. He reminded me of Paul Grayshon at times and that's not good!

Hyde looked good again, although if he were to play in SL his defence may need a little tweaking. It doesn't stop Sykes being selected at 6 though.

Not criticizing Sykes by the way, he had a great game today 100% effort and for once his tackling looked good.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

Nothing to suggest that he would make it in League IMO.

All the key men in the Wigan side are th same age as our u18's that's the 7, 9 and 13 also the Wigan stand off Mark Flanagan is another Bulls junior.

Bit early to say I would suggest, he looks to have the strength and pace to make it. So the raw materials are there, whether he can improve the defence and fitness we shall have to wait and see.
