Not suggesting running the club , but having a voice and a controlled contribution
I'd suggest that essentially you are now redundant , an academy is basically pointless now and for the near future
"A voice"? How quaint! You mean, an unpaid representative sitting in the corner and being ignored?
"Controlled contribution"?? What, the supporters have a secret stash of millions, which they will only drip feed to the owners on strict terms? Are you making this up as you go long?
Without an academy, I see no future. On a wider point, if clubs aren't going to attract youth into the game and nurture it through academies, I don't see the point in the game. And neither, I suspect, will Sport England.
There will be no bidders with rugby at heart with any money. There may be bidders with land and development opportunities at heart with some money. Neither scenario will end well.
I agree, the people who will want the license most want it for the lease and aim to develop the site. The best case scenario is that somewhere in the discussions with the RFL they sign up in blood to a level of funding for the club which gives us a chance of going forward. The worst case scenario is someone buys it for the rugby side thinking they can make money!!!
Rather than have a season out of it, why not give it a shot in the Championship while recognising that relegation is almost certain. Accepting this it gives a year of running a rugby club, learning, raising funds and partners, in order to hit C1 in 2018 in much better position off the pitch, ideally have a plan for developing Odsal for some use beyond rugby league which in the long term is the only viable way to fund the club and with a plan to get back to the Championship in 1-2 years and SL in 3-4 years? The key thing is having a plan
That's what I'd be thinking. The money isn't there to meet fans' expectations, so fans' expectations have to meet the money....
Excellent post with clear thinking. Let the dust and disappointment settle and then come up with a workable plan that gives us hope.
Blimey they are cutting it fine by the looks of this http://www.totalrl.com/rfl-set-deadline ... ord-bulls/ , it isn't going to be before the 13th Jan at the earliest. How many players are going to hang around for that.

To clarify, when I said an interest in running the club, I meant on any level. Even just as a member of the club's board or any kind of small control at all. It was very much not part of the intention.

Also to clarify, I'm only a member of the trust now and haven't been on the board for years. The nearest affiliation I now have is having a chat to a couple of the current board members if I bump into them, as the ones I know are very good people with the right intentions at heart.
As Bullseye has rightly said, a lot of the sort of fans you need to do this kind of thing are people like him (and a lesser extent myself). Those who are willing to give up their time and resources. Unfortunately most of those people have been there and done it in the last 10-15 years and are burnt out.

We need a combination of the two..
Most importantly though sell to someone that has experience of running a successful / functioning Rugby League club. Something we haven had since Caiseley and Co.
any bidder would have to show the RFL they can finance the deal to a positive outcome surely?
Madjeski was mentioned with Irvine before, if he is in to develop Odsal and invest the jobs a good 'un
If we were to start and go bust a gain we would embarrass the sport even more, the RFL will have to make the right choice this time.

They're not and that's why it's doomed.

So for all our Blue Sox fans clips from the Radio2 interview with Ralph Rimmer: Interviewer: This isn't just any club that's been liquidated this is Bradford Bulls? Rimmer: Yes that's right, the club that brought SL into the 21st Century. So I guess we must be special.
