I agree, I thought he was below par once again. Kicking execution has become so woeful its untrue.
He took a couple of big hits again and seemed to lose his way towards the end of the first half. He put a couple of straight kicks in that no one else seemed to be able to read or understand and squandered some solid possession, it looked like Rinaldi was under instruction to take over the kicking after that point. However he did have the awareness to put the drop goal over when the hooter sounded and in the second half whilst his in game kicking was still fairly dire his defense was solid and he seemed to get back into the swing of things. The fact is however that he still routinely manages to pass behind his target a couple of times a game and has slowed down (Yep Tigertot know it's hard to believe) considerably (hardly surprising given the hits he's taken).
Yesterday was hardly a new dawn, a team on their mettle would have made it far closer, but Wire's ball retention was woeful and they bombed a couple of tries other teams would have taken. However, Morrison seemed to give us some steel, Halley and Lynch were excellent, Sheriffe showed signs of growing in to his role and defensively for the most part we were better organised. Let's hope we go from strength to strength. Great to be part of a really vocal set of supporters, it looked like the team responded well to that level of support.
