As far as I am aware, if a post gets edited after it has been quoted, the quoted post should remain the same as the original unedited piece. If so, even if a post is later edited it should not affect any subsequent quoted posts.

If I am correct in this then the only people who could amend these posts would be a mod/admin and I am curious as to why such a thing was done, other than to make me look silly, and also how many other time a similar trick has been done.

Perhaps the culprit will have the balls to admit it?

Not me. And every time I edit spelling mistakes it comes up "edited ..." etc.

I edited Tigertots above and it shows nothing to indicate I have done so. I thought the edit message was only when changing your own rather than modding someone elses.
