I think that sentiment would be shared by many.

"I feel like a dad at Christmas waiting for the kids to open their presents"

This guy has got to be the most optimistic Administrator ever. I'm trying to remain sceptical and wary about all of this, but man this guy is making it difficult.

Who the hell is bidding for our club?

bit I'm nervous of is, once administrator accepts a bid he then passes it on to RFL for approval. Thats where it can all come a cropper.

If you're gonna make a judgment on people's wealth by the motor they happen to drive then you could be described as naive :)

I know what you mean, but he has said a few times that he's had meetings with the RFL. You'd like to think he will have had a quiet word with the RFL to weed out the no-hopers?

Then again, this is the RFL we are talking about here...

I am not a "proponent" of anything but a simple stater of the facts. I have quoted you the relevant part of the agreement too. If you won't take it for what it is (fact) then it's a bit strange of you but I frankly couldn't care less. Like faked moon landings or a non-flat earth, you are free to believe in or doubt whatever you like.

Although I am sure the substantial majority of those taking an interest know it was half money for 2 seasons, so it may be just you.

It can be referred to as deduction of a year's money, because in amount and principle, that's what it was, AND it can be referred to as 50% of distrib. x 2 years, because that was the only concession they were prepared to make (presumably realising that it was lunacy to even imagine a club existing for Year 1 with zero money).

Also, how could you possibly think I was suggesting OK was "duped", when I have many times explained that the Sky deduction thing was dropped on his toes at the very last minute, and he had a stark choice to accept it, or walk away and let the club fold. "Put on the spot" is the phrase you are looking for. The fact we have a club now, precarious though it is, is because of his acceptance.

I await with interest the first peep out of the RFL as to whether they are going to rob the new entity (assuming there is one) of a year's funding, or whether that was just a one-off special. If yes, then the new owner to escape 12 points will need to pay off somewhere north of £1.5m, and have 50% less money in the first 2 years. (And, I wouldn't be surprised, be on the share of the bottom club, and not one which finished 4th).

Why should new entity get share of club which finished 4th? surely they should get our share for finishing 5th ;-)

Surely Marc would only regain control of the club if he proved to the administrator that he had the money to run it? But then, If he really had the cash to pay off the Revenue then why didn't he do so before? If the administrator passed on the right to run the club [which I believe is still a going concern, not an insolvency] to someone who didn't have the funds to pay the wages then surely he would be in breach of one of his basic obligations? If Marc had those funds why did he bring in the admin?

Somehow, I can't see it being Marc.

Not sure when it happened, but I notice new U16 pictures and (mini) profiles have been loaded to the website at some point recently. I'm hoping that's a sign the academy won't take much of a hit out of this, as that's got to be our biggest commodity right now.

Does seem to be a totally different feel around the club this admin compared to previous ones. Very much seems to be business as usual at odsal. Their still selling season tickets as if nothings going on.

Lachlan Burr has arrived.

Seems business as usual while the admin is happening, which is surely a good sign. Certainly better than the Guilfoyle days of making everyone redundant.
