He'd be better than Sykes, but that's not saying much. He wasn't great for us at all. I'd hope if it is him it's only till the end of the season when we might get someone with a bit more pedigree.

Excellent, we haven't got enough injured players so recruiting one would be a stroke of genius... short term loan until he's fit again?

We don't notice him even when he does play for us to be honest but yes, he's been injured for the early part of the season, came back, then was injured again.

depended entirely on the match. on a good day he was very good. problem was all the times he didnt turn up. he's very inconsistent. which TBF the wakey fans told us when we signed him originally. Wouldnt mind him back til end of season if only to give us more options and has to be an improvement on sykes at SO at very least.

If it's true, or indeed we sign any other half back, then yes you do get the feeling Potter does not want to play Briggs for whatever reason.
