Newsflash: How can you possibly confuse terms pre-announced to ANY prospective new club by the RFL, with us on this board?

Don't you understand it is the RFL who are stating publicly that anyone wanting to run a Bradford team next year MUST start in the Champ on minus 12?

Can't you get the simple point that they are imposing terms as they see best for the game, and screw whatever any new owner might prefer to do?

If you have a problem with this, (as most of us on here do) then shouldn't you be firing off your whinges to the RFL who are pre-imposing this requirement, and not at the long-suffering fans of a defunct club who have no say?

As for having our cake and eating it - well yes, that really is the Bulls' fans' lot this week, more so than any other person in the world, isn't it, everyone is literally dying to swop places with us, aren't they?

A number of clubs in League 1 were fresh formed and went straight into there without the need to go up through other divisions. Clubs with much less history and more to the point, much less community clubs that feed into them. The whole point about sustaining Pro RL in Bradford is to do with the amount of players that have come through the system in the local area, which the RFL don't want to lose. And understandably considering how many of the recent England squad came via that route.

It's not about "doing favours for Bradford Bulls", it's about the local area and what a pro RL club in the Bradford area offers the sport.

Of course you are right, i was trying to say it could have been a lot worse, i honestly believe the RFL want a competitive Bradford this season, i think you will find a lot of other clubs, want a a competitive Bradford, i can see quite a few clubs prepared to allow some of their players on season long loans to you, i think you will avoid relegation, best of luck anyway, if i upset anybody i genuinely didn't mean to especially at this time when nerves are threaded.

Have you even read back what you wrote? You do realise there is no promotional pyramid like football and you cant get promoted directly from conference to semi pro ranks. It would be applying to the RFL as a new club would be now so no different. Nobody is whinging and moaning, it would put the new club into a very difficult position. From a couple of sensible posts to this nonsense maybe you should take your opinions back over the wrong side of the pennines

Still under a dark cloud but I think both options (Ch or CH1) are lose lose unless the new company renegotiates the terms of the lease with the RFL. Neither of the above options are going to generate the kind of revenue that has been proven could not allow us to exist on the current lease. This is the first thing that needs doing before team/coach/staff recruitment. If this proves to be the stumbling block to us reforming and results in the RFL taking a bath on the stadium and the chickens coming home to roost then so be it.

Don't get me wrong, I understand where you're coming from. Unlike others who are just seeing it as trolling (which is understandable, we've had a lot of it over the last few days), I can see your point. Yes, it definitely could be worse. We could have no club at all. But I think it's very much the RFL doing what is best for the sport, which does unfortunately mean forcing the new club to start in a bad place, which is why people are upset and lashing out.
The alternatives though that would be worse for us, would be much worse for the RFL and the game. So it's not surprising, especially with tensions already being high at the moment, that people are getting wound up a bit.

I agree. Odsal and the cost of its upkeep is the main reason we are where we are. Any new club playing there will need to either be prepared to shell out millions over the years to keep it within the rules and regulations or do some deal that allows someone else to finance upkeep or redevelopment in exchange for a change of land use on some or all of the site.

Without either a new club is likely to go bust again before long.

Players meeting with new owner today : Thu Jan 05, 2017 10:21 am
Just found out of my son that all players and staff have been told to meet at Odsal today at 4pm to meet the new owner. He's in a social media group which Leon have told all the players who don't have a club lined up to get to Odsal this afternoon. I asked how can this be possible with the club liquidated but on a message from Stuart Duffy he says the club technically hasn't been liquidated and is still in administration until the liquidation papers are in court. It all sounds positive news with Leon seeming confident a deal could be done as early as weekend.

I'm frankly amazed you think I was writing it for their consumption. I'm happy to talk about the flat cappers in a public forum using concepts that they are unlikely to fully comprehend, because they are poop and probably vote UKIP.
