There's a Jamaican place a bit further up and just round the corner on to the ring road that I've always fancied trying. Never been in though.

There's another one that's about 100 yards down the road, but I'm loyal to Lizzy. There's one just behind old Lingards in town aswell that's really good.

If you wan't to trek to Huddersfield aswell, there's an excellent one in the town centre run by a dude called Barrington that was on one of Gary Rhodes' shows.

One place that I did find OK about 7 year ago, was Commenwealth on Manor Row. Not sure if it's there anymore though. Just got a keema curry.

We went to the Karachi this evening, always found the place consistently good but the last couple of times I have been I'd been a little underwhelmed and tonight was the first time I'd been in a while.

The food tonight was really top class, the meat in particular seemed to be of a higher quality than last time, it was the best curry I have had in the city centre for a long time. There seemed to be a couple of new faces in the kitchen, so I'm not sure if there has been an ownership change, but if there has been it has definitely been for the better.

After a far too long absence, took a mate who was down from Scotland to the Westgate for the usual chicken masala and tandoori rotis. It remians the best in Bradford. The taste never changes, you get a decent amount, and the rotis are to die for.

Mystic Stan, who is something of a curry connoisseur, was gobsmacked.

Plus I have a penchant for their unusual "shrapnel" style onion bhajis.

I tend to only visit the Westgate once a year as I go to a thing around May time in the Rose & Crown up there, which always ends up with a few of us popping into the Westgate. I don't think I've ever eaten in there while sober, but I have always thought it was a really top meal.
