I think the press release is a little badly worded. It seems that he's joining up with Cas on Thursday to meet his new team and then joining Bradford for a minimum of a month's loan. Mainly to get him match fit

Are you up merchant because you sound like it. Super league club fairly good one or Championship side which isn't at the moment. Tough tough choice.

It doesn't though. In fact they often struggle when it works like that. I forget who it was, but I remember hearing a former head coach on Radio Leeds talking about DR and how it was a real struggle for those players to not train all week with the rest of the team, then turn up on matchday and everyone expects them to be in the 17.

Glass half full for me. The main reason for my (cautious) optimism is the presence of two people- Lowe and Toovey . Both are league men through and through. There is no way Toovey would consider the coaching position if there was no plan in place.
And both of them have records that clearly shows they realise the need for a strong forward base.

Most successful dual reg are the ones with part time teams. It means the dual reg player trains with the part time team, but the rest of the week trains with his parent side. Like Baldwinson may train with Fev twice a week, but the rest of the week he's with Leeds. That way he's still there with his parent side and if needed, knows their systems. But he's also at every training session for the dual reg team.

A loan with us where the player is training with his parent team just means that he's not at all of our training sessions, which is where the difference lies.

Some people are never happy

To be fair great move. No recall for the month. After that it's a 24 hour recall. Training wise at this present moment he doesn't really need to be at every session at the moment as daft as it sounds. We don't have an amazing game play plan where our second rowers do anything differently.

Look at the Leeds lads. Are they at all our sessions? If yes, then so will Larroyer as it is the same loan just a different club. If no, does it matter? Look at how two playmakers have slotted in without training with us. I'm sure a forward could make the same transition like Oledzki.

I think the main thing to take from this is cost. We have a player with SL and international experience in a position we are desperate for experience in. We are essentially only paying half for him for the duration he is with us too. As a loan deal is a 50/50 split normally, well depending on the team, there has been occasions where the parent club has paid full wages and just needed them to get game time. Can't see Cas doing this though!

Injury aside. He'll play every game that he is hear for I would assume. So 4 games at half price. And give Lowe and Chalmers a chance to scout a bit more. Also gives other teams another month to sort out their squads and we can see who is surplus to requirements.

Next up Scott Moore and hopefully a prop. But so far, happy with this!
