Landfill sites do take a lot of remediation and foundations are expensive as you end up with significant and complicated piling, but they're not impossible for light industrial use or even god forbid a shopping park!

The plan from one of the parties is to redevelop Odsal in its current location and use the land development as a means to that end.

I don't see why ya can't turn the pitch the other way on the back half of the site and then build retail units in the front side. Bet of both worlds then.

Caisley with money behind him is a good option like it or not we were world champions under him...

Irvine with koukash's money to run the club would also be awesome..

Both bids on the face of it would have money and know how.

Of which the last board had neither.

On the flip side of that, it's widely believed that Caisley's p*ssing contest with Hetherington was the catalyst for us being in this state in the first place.

So it's likely between Caisley and Koucash? Ugh, not sure how I feel about either of them tbh :(

It would be great to have a choice and my vote would be for whoever will bankroll us the most. Caisley has shown to be a shrewd operator that at the end of the day just ran out of money. Hopefully if he has a wealthy backer on board then he would be going into it with his eyes open and maybe feels he has something to prove. Unfortunately his legacy of one of,if not THE most successful periods of our history is tarnished by what has become known as the Harrisgate affair.

Odsal is indeed an old landfill site, but if it would cost £8m to build a roof over the pop side, which is on the tip, how come the managed to build a pretty simple, and very effective roof over the stand side, which equally is also on the tip? And with some maintenance has happily stood there for many decades?

Plus, when I first started going to Odsal, there WAS a roof over the pop side, not all of it, but a fair chunk of it, it was the old wooden stand. If you can't build there, then how the fsck did the old-timers build that? Or was the impossible possible back in the day? I would have several times more confidence in the builders and engineers of that era, or indeed of Romantimes, than the money-grabbing fast-buck consortia of profiteers that have come up with the last 20 superplans for superOdsal. Most of these modern highwaymen charge more for the T&A front page drawings than those old-timers would have charged to build the whole ground.

He does have money, but he has been tightening the purse strings at Salford with the scrapping of the academy. Mind you with crowds of barely 1000, a high rent stadium, he must be pumping a lot of money just to enable Salford to play.

My personal choice would be someone who pays off the creditors. I believe we have one of the best squads in the league and can overcome a 6 point penalty. I think 12 is near impossible. Plus we need to try and sort our tarnished reputation out and start paying our bloody debts.

Franks been bang on before so i believe his info. How much is Caisley's backer worth?

Green and Lamb will be the other 2 parties i am guessing. Please please not either of these 2.
