| To be fair great move. No recall for the month. After that it's a 24 hour recall. Training wise at this present moment he doesn't really need to be at every session at the moment as daft as it sounds. We don't have an amazing game play plan where our second rowers do anything differently.
Look at the Leeds lads. Are they at all our sessions? If yes, then so will Larroyer as it is the same loan just a different club. If no, does it matter? Look at how two playmakers have slotted in without training with us. I'm sure a forward could make the same transition like Oledzki.
I think the main thing to take from this is cost. We have a player with SL and international experience in a position we are desperate for experience in. We are essentially only paying half for him for the duration he is with us too. As a loan deal is a 50/50 split normally, well depending on the team, there has been occasions where the parent club has paid full wages and just needed them to get game time. Can't see Cas doing this though!
Injury aside. He'll play every game that he is hear for I would assume. So 4 games at half price. And give Lowe and Chalmers a chance to scout a bit more. Also gives other teams another month to sort out their squads and we can see who is surplus to requirements.
Next up Scott Moore and hopefully a prop. But so far, happy with this!

| I suspect the lack of new signed players is due to Toovs not being officially Head Coach yet and until this happens Agents are going to be wary about letting their Players sign anything, so once Toovs gets his working visa things should hopefully move on the Player signing front, otherwise it's cap in hand loanees for the time being!

| I half wonder if there's some red tape holding up the Bulls being able to sign players.
The way that the press release is worded to so strongly reiterate that he's training with Cas and here for match fitness etc. just seems like it's been laid on a bit thick. I'm probably wrong but it has the feeling of Cas bailing us out by registering him and loaning him to us cause we're struggling to sign players.
Why they'd do that, I don't know. I'm just a terribly suspicious person maybe.

| Surely if that was the case they would have just loaned him to us for rest of season with no recall?

That's standard. It's not a case of someone putting that clause in there, it's a standard RFL rule. ALL loan moves must be for a minimum of 28 days. After the 28 days, you can do recall as and when you want, as agreed between the two clubs.

I think it's more a case of us offering low wages personally.

It's not just you. It was the very first thing that crossed my mind when I saw the announcement too. At least until I saw it was initially for a month, which made me doubt it a little. But that could just be to throw people off the scent.

I think we are grasping at straws here. I hope you are right though. If only someone would let us in on what the great overall plan is ! We have gone from the Hale fellow well met forums with Green, to no forum or communications whatsoever.

It's down to loaning club to specify which club loanees train with. Normally month and season long loans train with club there loaned to. Dual reg players train with parent club as there not usually made available for the loaner club until the last minute. But this isn't set in stone and is dependent on the individual loan deal. Leeds lads have settled in as they are training full time with us. If press statement was correct then larroyer won't be.

| I apologise for my negative reaction to the signing yesterday, he will be good for us i'm sure.
What I personally find from loanees however is they aren't 100% committed to the cause as they don't really want to be there.
The Gravity of what an absolute state we have been left in has just about hit home..
I hope the cavalry does arrive with regards to players, and also a hand is played that nobody has seen yet with regards to investment.
The new owners aren't getting Odsal so there must be something else afoot?

| OK. I am now going to have a quick stir. Has Toovey actually put pen to paper and if so does anyone know how long a work visa should take?
