I'm utterly lost for words on that showing. The players should be utterly ashamed of themselves. For so called 'professionals' to concede 40 points in a single half after once leading 26-0 is indefensible. Even more so after letting slip another commanding lead the week before at Cas.
With that defeat I feel that is pretty much season over in terms of a tilt at Silverware. We're already too far behind to get into a play off position that we give us a reasonable chance of getting to a GF. So surely this is the ideal time to plan for the future. Do what they do in the NRL and announce that we are actively seeking a new coach for 2010. That way we can see just who is available and willing to take on the job for next year. If Macca is willing to step aside then I do still feel he could do a job for the club in some capacity but it is perhaps unlikely he would accept that.
I'm now dreading Good Friday, even if we find some strength to actually concentrate for 80 mins I cannot see much else other than a hiding.
